Scranton wedding photographer The Hilton

Michael & Bri were married on September 21 at The Hilton in Scranton.  I’m honored they chose me to be their wedding photographer.  We first met back in October for their engagement session.  They brought their dog along and I knew right away this was a sweet couple in love.  That’s just what I hope for in all of my couples.  It makes my job a bit easier.

The week leading up to the wedding the forecast was not looking good.  I hadn’t done a wedding at The Hilton before, so I decided to stop in and take a peek.  I wanted to try to find some places where I could do their portraits.  The staff was so friendly and accommodating!  The wedding coordinator took the time to give me a tour of the hotel and helped me find some places for photos.  This definitely eased my concerns since I found some great little spots.  I was still hoping that the weather would work out in our favor.

I arrived at Bri’s mom’s house where she was getting ready with all of her bridesmaids.  The weather was great, but the afternoon forecast wasn’t changing.  I released a huge sigh when I saw her dress.  It was absolutely beautiful!  I hadn’t seen one like it and couldn’t stop swooning over it.  Everyone was having a great time and doing whatever Brianna needed to make her day go smoothly.  She was ready and left for The Hilton on time via the party bus.

The ceremony was held in The Hilton.  Everything went smoothly and they proclaimed their love in front of their friends and family.  After the ceremony ended we noticed it was dark and windy but not raining.  We quickly boarded the bus and went to Lake Scranton to try to get whatever we could.  I’ll admit I was nervous. It didn’t look pretty outside and I definitely didn’t want it to start down pouring on the bridal party right before the reception.  I made my “Ok guys, let’s DO this.” announcement when we arrived and off we went.  We had a very short amount of time and it was cold and windy.  This group rocked it!  We got some great photos before we felt the rain drops start.  We hopped back on the bus and by the time we arrived back at the hotel it was pouring!  The couple really wanted their photos at Lake Scranton so I am super happy that worked out for them.

They got to head back to their reception and party the night away!  There was so much dancing, laughter and hugs.  Everyone seemed to be having a great time including the happy couple.  Then they were off on their amazing honeymoon.  I wish you two a lifetime of happiness and love!  Thank you for letting me be part of your day.
