I remember when Kate contacted me to let me know she was expecting, I was over the moon excited for them. Eric and Kate are such incredibly kind and wonderful people that I knew they were going to make great parents. I had the pleasure of photographing their wedding in September 2014.
When past couples bring me their babies, it gives me goosebumps. I love meeting their baby and seeing who they resemble more. I love seeing the parents go from being so focused on each other and their wedding to shifting their priorities to this little tiny life. My heart melts watching dad be so attentive over mom and his baby. I know that mom has fallen into a deeper love for her husband just by stealing moments watching him be dad. Their worlds get rocked and they are exhausted with a new baby in town, but their love has grown even stronger for each other. I know what a gift having a child is for your heart and now they get to have that.
Their nursery was so cute with a dinosaur theme. Kate and Eric opted for an in home lifestyle newborn session. A lifestyle newborn session is done in the home and captures the connection between baby and parents. I love these types of sessions because I get to chat more and see them in their environment. I got to meet their super cute dog, Will. He was so excited and full of energy that grandma had to take him for a walk to burn off some steam.
It was incredible to be a part of their story and see it all come full circle. I hope to be able to photograph them for many years to come and watch this handsome boy grow up!
