Family Session at the lake

Jacob and his family have been coming to me since 2012.  I have loved watching him grow.  He is always shy at first, but I just give him a little space until he is ready.  By the end I get high fives and we end with a treat.  Okay, maybe I bribe that high five out of him with the treat.  Either way, I’ll take it.

When Christine was ready to book her family session we had to figure out where.  NEPA doesn’t have a plethora of options.  Christine prefers the more lifestyle and candid type sessions.  I love these as well.  So we knew we needed to choose somewhere that they could also do some activities together and forget about me a little.  So I suggested the beach at Gouldsboro State Park.  I have done a couple of sessions here so I knew it would work.  She was in.

They arrived with a shovel and pail.  As I said before, Jacob was a little shy.  He was happy to talk to me about his day but a little unsure about the camera.  This is where the activity and my 70-200 lens came in handy.  Mom and Dad got him to focus on digging in the sand.  I stayed away a bit until I knew he was having so much fun he wouldn’t worry about the camera.  It worked out perfectly.  I’m really happy with their session.  Take a look!
