Before and After Newborn Edit

I thought I would share a little before and after of my newborn retouching.  A lot of work goes into my newborn sessions.  I arrive at least 1 hour before the session start time to warm up the studio and get things set up.  The session lasts anywhere from 2 – 4 hours depending on the baby.  After that I have about 30 minutes of clean up and laundry to do.  Then I get to edit the photos.  The amount of time this takes depends on the baby.  Some babies have perfect porcelain skin (like my Layla & Evan did), some do not (like my Carissa).  Either way is ok, babies are just different.  🙂  The babies that are more splotchy, have acne or scratches take a bit longer to edit.  This is why you come to me, 🙂 I can take care of it so that your baby looks just as you see them.  I have only had one baby that didn’t need at least a little retouching.

Here are some examples.  My goal is not to make your baby look like a fake doll.  I just want to polish them up. 🙂  Much love and attention to detail goes into your newborn session with me.  Now, neither of these babies are really bad, just average newborn skin.
